UX Design & Content
"People don't read."
I’ve lost count of how many times people have said this to me. And let me tell you—when you’ve poured your heart and soul into writing clear, engaging copy, that can be a pretty big bummer. But the sentiment still remains; in a world of constantly divided attention, people’s eyes tend to skim over the details. Which begs the question...
If people don't read... how do we design?
What I've learned?
It's not true.
Good UX design is about attention. It’s about letting your users focus on what they need to focus on, not pulling them in a hundred different directions. It’s not just about the content on the page, but how that plays with everything around it. The best microcopy in the world isn’t going to solve a button that’s hidden away. The most well-placed toggle isn’t going to matter if the label is confusing.
Your audience’s attention is limited.
Use it to your advantage.
That's where I come in.

Hey There
I'm a product designer with 10+ years in tech and a soft spot for the humans on the other side of the screen. I got my start in the product world working on internal tools for writers & editors, which taught me early the impact of design on the human experience. I learned a valuable lesson: technology should make life easier, not harder. Since then, I've applied those same principles to products in healthcare, insurance, mobile marketing, and beyond.
Outside of work, I am a mom of two cats and one human living the Chicago suburbs. I'm a lifelong story lover and can be found consuming stories in all their forms, from novels to video games. I am a true word nerd and a code admirer patiently waiting for the days of robot butlers.
