RCS Image Optimizer

An AI-powered tool for optimizing marketing images for viewing on mobile.

Context

Android and iOS render the same image very differently. In addition, there was no way to segment by operating system, meaning one image had to be sent to both and Apple and Android devices. This meant marketers had to rely on extensive testing and rigid image specifications when sending images via RCS.

Project

After doing extensive testing on a variety of devices and collecting feedback from Customer Success Managers, I identified this as a key risk to our customers' continued use of RCS.

Working with Product Managers and Data Scientists, our proposed solution was an AI-backed image transformer that used the original image and optimized it for both operating systems.

Challenge

In the early stages, we analyzed our customer feedback around other AI features and noticed a theme. AI is new and unpredictable, meaning we had to build trust into our AI products.
